The Key Elements of Sustainable Travel

Cocoon strives to provide its members with luxury services that are centred around sustainability.

At its core, working sustainably means meeting the needs of current generations through practices that ensure the needs of future generations are not compromised, recognising that while economic growth is important, wellbeing and ecological security take precedence over how it is attained.

In relation to travel, there are five key areas a service can focus on to identify eco-friendly practices. These are: waste, energy and greenhouse gases, water, the local community and the protection of nature. By addressing the way in which each of these areas is approached, service providers are then able to make positive changes to their operation.

At Cocoon, we only work with partners that demonstrate conscientious practices in relation to these areas, helping us provide luxury wellness services that are ecologically responsible.

The accommodations we are partnered with are low impact, operating sustainably by using green energy and serving locally sourced food. Every hotel we work with functions in a similar fashion, employing members of the local community whilst taking care of the surrounding natural environment.

Because our partners operate in this way, travelling with Cocoon means you are endeavouring to do so sustainably, regardless of where you decide to be in the world.

We are always on the lookout for new partners who work in line with our values, ensuring health, luxury and social responsibility go hand-in-hand.

If you’re looking to travel this summer, why not do so sustainably with Cocoon?
