This week we’re excited to share a round up of our favourite celebrity chefs, celebrating how each one has influenced the world of luxury dining in their own unique way.
Nobu Matsuhisa is a Japanese chef whose Japanese and Peruvian fusion cuisine has earned him numerous accolades, including several Michelin stars. His ‘Nobu’ restaurants can be found across the globe, meaning that, wherever you are, you’ll be able to give his dishes a try.
The first black woman to be awarded a Michelin star, Mariya Russell’s Japanese-inspired culinary creations have received numerous awards. When heading up Chicago-based restaurant Kumiko, Russell became famous for omakase cuisine, a style of dining that relies on seasonal dishes. She recently left Kumiko to focus on her own personal wellness, something we deeply admire here at Cocoon. We’re really excited about her next steps – wherever they might lead.
One of the most famous chefs in the world, Alain Ducasse’s restaurant at The Dorchester in London is one of many that serve his famous cuisine. One of the most decorated chefs working today, Ducasse can boast 23 Michelin stars under his belt. His signature dishes include ‘Sauté gourmand’ and ‘Monte-Carlo.’
Rene Redzepi became Head Chef at Noma in Denmark in 2002, when he was just 24. Redzepi researches his dishes by foraging in the wild, experimenting with processes such as fermentation and dehydration. He recently made headlines when Noma closed down; an event touted by many as the end of fine dining. However, he still co-owns two other Michelin star restaurants, both in Copenhagen.
At Cocoon, we’re passionate about helping our clients find the best experiences global luxury dining has to offer. Get in touch to know more.
